In J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved classic, “Lord of the Rings,” the name “Elda” is revealed to mean “of the stars.”
I like that…
I am Elda, fierce and loyal. I love performing, creating art in that moment where the actor engages the audience, brief though it may be. I love to laugh and make others laugh, for I believe laughter is a balm to a weary soul.
Similar to the Elves who sojourned in Middle Earth but longed for Valinor, I, as a follower of Jesus, also believe this is not my home. I, too, long for home, but realize my time is not yet come. So, while I wait, I seek to know and be known. Come let us sojourn together.
